TURNS OUT NICK CLEARED 7-03 THIS WEEK IN A DUAL!!
It has been the year of the High Jumper in California this Track and Field season so far! On the Boys’ side there have been four athletes who have already been over 7 feet, a standard of excellence at the prep level that less than thirty athletes in the entire nation were able to achieve as a personal best during the 2008 prep campaign outdoors. State Champion Harrison Steed (Jserra, San Juan Capistrano) was over 7-01.25 last year, and has popped over 7-0 this spring, with Jules Sharpe (Oaks Christian, Westlake) sailing over 7-01 early, and surprising Skylar Lacour (Rancho Verde, Moreno Valley), adding over four inches to his personal best while clearing 7-00.25 in his own school’s Relay of Champions
