Andriy Silnov, the reigning Olympic and European High Jump
champion, is set to return to competition after the Russian star missed
nearly the whole of last year due to an Achilles injury.
"I am going to compete at the Russian Winter indoor meeting on Sunday," said Silnov.
"However, I don't think I will be going to the World Indoor
Championships in Doha, I'm not sure whether I'm in good enough form to
compete in a major international championship just yet.
"For two months, I have been training with my coach Yevgeny Zagorulko.
I've been gradually getting back into the rhythm, getting some strength
back into the muscles. I can feel improvement in what was the injured
leg but I am still getting better," added the 25-year-old Muscov
