Pre NCAA Rankings

#1.  (5) Scott Sellers (Senior Kansas State University) - Scott jumped 2.25m for a share of the national lead to win the Mid-West Regional meet.  He has been there and won twice at the NCAA meet no one is more experianced.  He is the man to beat and with his jump last weekend it just shows that he will be ready to jump high when it counts.  Outdoor season (2.20m, 2.20m, NH, 2.19m, 2.15m 4th Big 12's, 2.25m 1st Mid-West).  Indoor Season (2.19m, 2.15m, 2.17, 2.14m 2nd Big 12's, 2.25m 1st NCAA's).  Scott rose to the occation and was in a class of his own winning the NCAA indoor meeting.  He looked great jumping 2.25m and had some good looks at 2.30m.

#2. (1) Jerome Miller (Senior Georgia Tech) -Jerome has been over 2.22m 3x this year outdoors.  His latest was the East regional champs where he won the meet with this mark.  With him jumping this consisent he seems due for a PB jump at NCAA;s.  Outdoor season (2.20m, 2.19m, 2.13m 1st ACC Meet, 2.16m, 2.22m, 2.22m, 2.22m 1st East) Indoor Season (2.24m, 2.09m, 2.25m, 2.26m) He had a great indoor season but was cut short.

#3. (7)  Manjula Wijeskara (Junior USC) - Manjula looked great at the West Regionals jumping 2.25m with ease for the win.  He got 7th indoors and will be very confident after his regional preformance for the outdoor NCAA champs.  Outdoor Season (2.18m, 2.16m 2nd PAC-10's, 2.25m 1st West).  Indoor Season (2.10m, 2.17m, 2.19m, 2.14m 7th NCAA's).  He looked pretty good at NCAA's making 2.14m but failed at the next height along with most of the field.  He has a lot of potential and will be a major factor this outdoor season.

#4. (6) Derek Drouin (Freshman Indiana)  He does it again and again.  Each week just getting better and better.  His latest being a 3cm PB at the Mid-East Regionals Champs (2.22m).  He won this meet and will be a major factor for the NCAA title.  Outdoor Meets (2.13m, 2.10m, 2.05m, 2.14m, 2.13m, 2.13m, 2.15m, 2.19m 1st Big Tens, 2.22m 1st Mid-East)  Indoor Meets (2.10m, 2.15m 2.11m, 2.18m, 2.18m 2nd Big Ten's, 2.14m 2nd NCAA's) This freshman was quite impressive in his first season for Indiana.  He got 2nd at the NCAA meet and 2nd at the Big Ten meet.  He looked like he could have gone higher a the NCAA meet but cant be mad at his second place finish.

#5. (13) Ivan Diggs (Senior Houston)  Ivan seems to be back on top of his game with a 2.22m jump at the Mid-West Regionals for a 2nd place finish.  He is a 5th year senior and will be bringing a lot of experiance into the NCAA meet.  Outdoor Meets (2.13m, 2.23m, 2.15m, 2.14m, 2.12m, 2.10m, 2.15m 1st USA, 2.22m 2nd Mid-West)

(3) Matt Fisher (Minnesota) - Matt jumped 2.16m to get 3rd at the Mid-West Regional Meet.  He still is tied with 3 others for the highest jump outdoors in the NCAA.  Outdoor Meets (2.25m, NH, 2.10m, 2.19m 2nd Big Tens, 2.16m 3rd Mid-West) Indoor meets.  (2.14m, 2.16m, 2.21m, 2.21m 1st Big Ten, NH NCAA's) Matt was one of the favorites going into the NCAA meet but did not come through in the biggest meet of his career.  He has showen to be a great jumper but wasnt his normal self at this years indoor NCAA meet where he failed to clear the opening bar.

#7. (2) Trent Arrivey (Washington State Jr.) Trent got 5th place at the Western Regionals Champs with a 2.09m jump.  He did what he needed to assure himself a spot at Nationals.  He will need to jump better at the NCAA meet.  Outdoors (2.19m, 2.12m, 2.25m, 2.10m, 2.19m, 2.09m 5th West)  Indoor meets (2.14m, 2.20m, 2.10m, 2.21m 2nd MPSF, 2.09m 8th NCAA's)  Had a great indoor season but lacked a big jump at this years unusual indoor NCAA meet.  Made the opening height at the NCAA meet with ease but couldnt get over the next bar.  This was still good enough for a 8th place finish.
