He won the Big 12 Champs with a 2.24m (7-4.25) jump. He also made history by jumping what is tied for the 3rd highest jump indoors ever in the college ranks 2.33m (7-7.75) to win the Tyson Invite. 2010: Outdoors: Jumped a personal best outdoors of 2.25m (7-4.5) to win the Jim Click Invite in Tuscon, Arizona. Placed 2nd in the Big 12 Champs with a 2.14m (7-0.25) jump. At the NCAA Champs he placed 6th with a 2.17m (7-1.5) jump. In his final meet of the year he jumped 2.17m (7-1.5) to place 3rd at the USA junior competition. Indoors: Jumped for the first time in a college uniform with a win and jump of 2.19m (7-2.25). Placed 2nd at the Big 12 Conference with a 2.23m (7-3.75) jump. Also placed 11th at the NCAA indoor champs with a leap of 2.14m (7-0.25). 2009: Senior year in high school......Indoors jumped 2.21m (7-3) to win the Nike High School National Meet dominating the field. Jumped a season best 2.24m (7-4.25) in Ypsilanti, MI. Outdoors won the Ohio State meet with a 2.16m (7-1). Won the Nike High School National Outdoor meet jumping 2.22m (7-3.25) then went on the place 2nd at the USA junior national meet with a 2.15m (7-0.5) jump. Finished up his season representing the USA junior national team in Port of Spain Pan American junior champs jumping 2.10m (6-10.75) to place 2nd. Finished the seaosn with best jumps of 2.24m (7-4.25) indoors and 2.22m (7-3.25) outdoors. Also finishd the season ranked as the #1 high school high jumper for the 2nd year in a row. 2008: Junior year in high school......Indoors jumped 2.22m (7-3.25) and also won the Nike Indoor Nationals with a 2.14m (7-0.25) jump. Placed 2nd at the USA junior champs 2.14m (7-0.25) and also just missed the finals of the Olympic Trials jumping 2.15m (7-0.5). Finally finished the season with a first meet overseas in Poland where he jumped 2.10m (6-10.75) where he failed to make the World Junior Champs finals. 2007: Jumped a season best 2.10m (6-10.75) as a sophmore in high school.
