2011: Indoor: Ricky placed 2nd at the NCAA champs indoors for the 2nd year in a row. This year he jumped 2.23m (7-3.75) in doing so. He had a season best jump of 2.28m (7-5.75) the third highest jump in the NCAA ranks indoors. He also won the SEC champs with a leap of 2.22m (7-3.25). He had 4 jumps over 7-5 in the indoor year.

2010: Outdoors: Jumped a personal best 2.28m (7-5.75) at the Florida Relays. Jumped 2.20m (7-2.5) to win the SEC Outdoor Champs in Knoxville, Tennessee. Placed 5th in the NCAA champs with a 2.20m (7-2.5) jump. Finally ended his season in Des Moines jumping 2.23m (7-3.75) to place 5th. Indoors: Won the SEC Champs indoors with a jump of 2.24m (7-4.25). Also jumped a season best 2.25m (7-4.5) to place 2nd at the NCAA indoor champs.

2009: Won the Mississippi State title with a jump of 7-1. Then went on to the USA Junior Champs in Eugene where he won the meet by jumping 2.18m (7-1.75) which was a season best for the Senior in high school.

2008: Won the Mississippi State title with a jump of 2.21m (7-3) which was the leading jump in the nation outdoor for all of high school.
