He jumped a 2.21m (7-3), indoor PB, to place 2nd at the MPSF indoor championships. Then went to the NCAA championships where he earned All-American honors placing 8th with a 2.09m (6-10.25) jump. He jumped a national leading mark in the outdoor season jumping 2.25m (7-4.5) to place 2nd at the Mt. SAC Relays. He won the 2009 Pac-10 Championships with a jump of 2.19m (7-2.25). At the NCAA Outdoor championships he eaned 9th place with a jump of 2.14m (7-0.25). Season Best jumps Outdoors 2.25m (7-4.5) Indoors 2.21m (7-3). 2008: Jumped a season best of 2.17m (7-1.5) indoors in Pullman. Outdoors finished 3rd place at the PAC-10 Championships jumping 2.16m (7-1). Jumped a season best 2.22m (7-3.25) to win the NCAA Western Regional Championships. Got 9th place at the Outdoor NCAA Championships with a 2.14m (7-0.25) jump. Also qualified for the Olympic trials where he just missed the finals, 15th place, jumping 2.15m (7-0.5). Season best Outdoors 2.25m (7-4.5) Indoors 2.21m (7-3). 2007: Jumped a season best jump of 2.06m (6-9) in Lincoln, Nebraska indoors. Jumped a season best jump 2.13m (6-11.75) to place 3rd place at the Pac-10 Championships which was good enough for 3rd place. 2006: Trent was a 7' jumper in high school and the state champion for Washington State.
